BOOK A TRIAL

Foundation Art

(7 to 9 years old)

In Foundation Art, students will learn to express themselves creatively and create narratives through their artworks. At this level they begin to learn the basic rules and foundations of art such as perspective drawing and their works are brought to another level.

Students will learn how to:

  • Apply mind-mapping, where they use the 4Ws (who, what, when, and where) to tell their own stories through their artwork.
  • Use more complex art techniques, such as layering, patterning, and shading.
  • Explore a wider variety of art mediums like watercolour and acrylic paint.

Once teachers see fit, students learning this syllabus are given greater creative liberty and are able to make decisions on what they want to draw and types of works they would like to create.

Art Colours Your Life

Art is unquestionably one of the purest and highest elements in human happiness. It trains the mind through the eye, and the eye through the mind. As the sun colours flowers, so does art colour life.

What We Believe in Learning

It’s okay to make mistakes. Mistakes are our teachers – they help us to learn. No matter how many mistakes you make or how slow your progress, you’re still way ahead of everyone who isn’t trying. Strive for continuous improvement, instead of perfection.
